The Jordanian and the Egyptian art associations have decided to boycott
the “Jordan Festival,” along with some Lebanese artists, over claims it
is being set up by the same company, Publicis Groupe, which organized
Israel's 60th-anniversary celebrations in May.
Sources close to the famous Lebanese artist Elissa said that she will
turn down the offer to sing at the festival, yet nothing official has
been released.

According to the London
daily Elaph, Lebanese signers Yara and Fadel Shaker had not announced if
they wil perfom at the festival. The music company ‘Rotana’ will also
release a statement announcing if they will participate in the festival.
The ‘Jordan Festival’ will be held from July 8 to August 9 and will
include various famous artists and music groups from around the world.
